* Dear Valued Subscribers
Hello from rainy London, where Summer really could now be over. I hope all is going well for you.  This has been a strange month, with a lot of developments on all fronts, every day seemed to bring news of a different kind.

Our September break was delayed a little, and we did not go to Norfolk in the end. We went last week to Sussex for four days, so there has been a lot of catching up to do but it was worthwhile. The weather was perfect and we spent time looking at houses and getting to the beach as much as possible. As we were in a town, I tried to hook up to someone else's wireless broadband but nothing doing! We were all tired by the end - even the dog - but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came back full of ideas.

* Adsense Dead or Alive?
The online business community has really been buzzing over the "Death of Adsense" report, and many of you have already downloaded it. This free ebook explains the problems that have hit many Adsense publishers" income recently, and the second part (also free) outlines an alternative plan. It is not too late - you can still read both reports here. We will be doing a full review of his methods very soon: the book appealed to me as it wisely advocates spreading your income streams across a number of different sources. It then goes on to explain how you can get a higher payment for the same clicks that were coming via Adsense. The system takes some absorbing: on the other hand, it is very easy to sign up and use Adsense on any Website or Blog, and you can sign up Free as an Adsense publisher now by clicking the box in the left-hand column.

*Adsense is Alive - Joel Comm
We are certainly not giving up on Adsense yet, and Joel Comm, known as Mr Adsense, has replied with all guns blazing. He has released a report, "Adsense is Alive", giving his view - with an entertaining fable and a point-by-point rebuttal to the half-truths that are being believed by way too many people. You can get it free here, and you will also receive updates on the next release of his Adsense templates. The last release sold out in 24 hours, so make sure you put your name down on the pre-launch list today.

* How to Start a Website
We have been really pleased to hear from a number of subscribers recently, asking about the basics of getting started online. We have tried a number of services and methods over a long time (and made some mistakes), so I thought it was a good idea to list recommended services here. There are four things you need at first -
1. A Domain Name GoDaddy is the cheapest reliable source of Domain Names, plus they include Free Privacy cover as well. It is very easy to find out which names are available and sign up for your chosen domain. For the next two days their prices are reduced even further, so go over there and choose your Domain Name.
2. A Web Hosting Company We have tried a number of Hosting Services ourselves, and the best budget provider around is Hostgator. They are highly reliable, and will host unlimited domains for $9.95 a month. They do not lock customers in to long contracts, and there is a 30-day moneyback guarantee.
3. Web Pages You can use this free HTML software if you do not have access to Dreamweaver or similar. OR you can sign up for the Richjerk's Newsletter and he will give you a FREE website that you can display, and also use the template design to start you off. Get Your Free Website Design Here - the page was supplied to us under the Rich Jerk's free offer, and I think it looks good.
4. Traffic Start by displaying your site at Linkreferral, a totally free service where other members visit your site and review it, and you do the same. This is a source of quality visitors - many of our eZine subscribers have come via Linkreferral. I know that many of you need help with getting traffic to your site, this is a very useful FREE Traffic Guide, that will give you plenty of ideas.

* More Traffic Ideas
This is not just an excuse to mention Kevin the Collie again - honest! We launched his website and Blog in July, and we have simply looked around for sources of free traffic. I submitted his Blog to The Guardian, one of the major UK daily newspapers, and we were really pleased when they featured it as a "Blog we like". Then a few days later we noticed extra traffic from a site called Dogmark - when we visited the site we saw that Kev's site was "Cool Dog Site of the Day". He now goes through to compete as "Cool Site of the Month" - so please vote for Kevin as Site of the Month!

When you have a new website or blog, it is good to brainstorm over places to promote it. Think about your niche and all the people who might be interested in your content. As you can see, it really can pay off.

That is all for this edition. If you want any more information on any of the articles, or help with your business, then please get in touch. We don't bite, and nor does the dog!
